…the Flow of Life

Hey ya’ll sorry I haven’t posted in awhile I have been swept up in the flow of life and a little distracted with a lot of stuff going on. I have definitely missed posting though…so just an update…
I recently received the news that my 34 year old cousin had been diagnosed with cancer. I know he will be ok…and I appreciate any and all prayers!
It’s crazy because sometimes it takes these types of mental shake ups to bring you back into focus on what is important in life. It is so easy to take your days for granted and put off those things that you know you should do because ‘there is always time’. But what if there isn’t?
His situation started me back into thinking. What are we all here for? What is life about? I think a lot of people have been revisiting this idea given the state that the economy is in. So many people that I know have lost their jobs over the past 2 years, taken a huge reduction in income, and seen all of the things that they have come to rely on (mostly material comforts) dissipate. I think that this whole ‘recession’ situation is good in a lot of ways because it is forcing people to analyze what is important in their lives. It’s forcing people to recognize that material things come and go and are just an illusion. Only things of the spirit last.
So what are we on this earth to do?
My answers are:
We are here to serve God.
We are here to manifest God’s promises.
We are here to love one another.
I think an important thing to do right about now is look at your life and meditate on the gifts that God has given to you. What are your unique gifts? What can you do better than anyone else? How can you use those gifts to spread love and bless others?
If we identify this one thing and seek to make this our life focus, then it does not matter what circumstances present themselves you will always be equipped to come out victoriously because you are here manifesting your life purpose. Focus on your purpose and it does not matter if you have 24 hours to live or 100 years – your life will have meaning.

You hit the nail on the head. The universe is an expansive place and our individual existence is a micro-fraction of the energy of which it is comprised. It is our duty to utilize the full potential of our individual energies for the betterment of God’s infinite vision. Anything less is a waste of potential… and “the saddest thing in life is wasted talent” (Lorenzo the bus driver in A Bronx Tale)!
